National Geographic visar program om Virgin Galactic

National Geographic visar program om Virgin GalacticVirgin Galactic slår sig ihop med National Geographic för att skapa en tv serie på 4 avsnitt för att skildra deras satsning på att göra verklighet av rymdturism. Premiär väntas någon gång under våren.

Under inspelningen av tv-serien, som ännu inte har fått ett namn, kommer ett tv-team att följa Sir Richard Branson och Burt Rutan i deras satsning på att skapa en verksamhet som kommer att skicka 50.000 personer upp i rymden under en 10-års period.

Förutom denna tv-serie kommer National Geographic att satsa mer på produktioner i samma tema, bland annat ett två timmar långt program om "rymddykning". Det är berättelsen om Felix Baumgartners försök att sätta höjdrekord för en ballongfärd där den bokstavliga höjdpunkten är ett hopp ner mot jorden.
